Did you know that in Mac OS you can not only read the text but also listen to it? It can come in very handy if you have to go through an important piece of text but for some reason cannot stay in front of your Mac.
Follow these steps:
1. Go to System Preferences, Speech.
2. Go to the Text to Speech tab.
3. Select the Speak selected text when the key is pressed option.
4. Set the preferred keyboard shortcut.
5. Press this key combination each time you want your Mac to read aloud. Don’t forget to select the text you want to be spoken by your Mac.
6. You can make the voice sound more human by selecting the preferred voice from the System Voice drop-down menu. To learn how the chosen voice sounds, click the Play button.
